Fishing

Kingsmead Centre has two pleasure angling lakes on site.

The Woodland lake is the smaller of the two. It is located on the same level as the lower camping field but a short distance away through the woods. It has three large joined areas of lillies, a soft clay bottom and a fairly even depth of 4 to 5 feet. The lake is stocked with Ide, tench, rudd, bream and carp.

The Valley lake is stocked with a more traditional mix of coarse fish. It is a 50 metre walk down from the Woodland lake. Those with a 4 x 4 can take their cars down and unload at the lakeside. This lake includes: Common Carp, Mirror Carp, Perch, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Bream, Chubb.

Fishing is included in the price of your stay; however you are responsible for ensuring that you have a rod licence from the Environment Agency.
